Moero Crystal H Strategy Guide: Basics

Difficulty

There are four difficulty settings:

  • Easy
  • Normal
  • Hard
  • Expert

Difficulty affects the amount of HP monsters have as well as the rewards you receive from battle. Higher difficulty leads to higher EXP and Rub P rewards.

Difficulty can be changed at any time. If you ever get stuck, consider adjusting the difficulty.

Controls

Pressing the - button at any point in the game will bring up a display for the controls for that section.

Additionally, this game does have touchscreen controls but is fully functional using only a controller. Use of the touchscreen is optional, in spite of what the tutorials may sometimes imply.

In Battle Scratch / Love Scratch / Double Scratch minigames you can use the analogue sticks and the Y button to perform the massaging. For the Nude Flash that follows, rotate the analogue sticks when the screen instructs you to "rub vigorously".

For the Doki-Doki Shooter minigame, use the controls listed on-screen. To grab a crystal, position the cursor over it and hold the Y button.

For the Peeping minigame in the Heart Crystal dungeons, you can press the A button instead of tapping the screen.

Game Mechanics

Moero Crystal H is predominantly a dungeon crawler. The goal is to explore dungeons, collect treasure, and find monster girls.

These monster girls can be recruited by destroying their clothing in battle and then massaging them into submission via the Battle Scratch minigame.

Your dungeon crawling party is composed of monster girls you've recruited.

You'll level the monster girls and enhance them in various ways. This includes:

  • Finding costumes that affect their available move sets
  • Giving them presents to build intimacy
  • Performing vertical shooter minigames known as Doki-Doki Shooter to access special dungeons that can further enhance the monster girls

Each monster girl has their own unique move set and stats defined by the costume they're currently wearing.

Costume

Each monster girl has four costumes:

  • One which comes equipped by default
  • One can be found in a treasure chest
  • One can be found at a Harvest Point
  • One can be found from random encounter monsters with a heart icon (this is known as the Heart Drop)

Costumes consist of bra and panties and they can be equipped only by the monster girl they belong to.

Bras determine the current move set a character has and panties determine that character's current stats.

While the bra and panties are found as sets, each monster girl can eventually mix-and-match her own bras and panties, allowing for customization of move sets and stats. The only exception is the default costume which cannot be separated and must be worn as a complete set. The ability to mix-and-match bras and panties is gained for a monster girl when her Separate Territory dungeon has been cleared (see Deep Reaches for more information).

Costumes are represented as panty icons in dungeons but acquiring them does provide the matching bra as well.
