Moero Crystal H Strategy Guide: Enhancing Monster Girls

Leveling Up

Monster girls gain levels from experience earned winning battles. Monster girls that remained in town also gain experience.

The amount of experience monster girls in town receive increases if you enhance the rooms each one lives in through room construction.

Room construction is performed by acquiring building materials specific to that monster girl. If you find building materials, you can use the Construction option at the Inn to improve their rooms. Construction materials are found in each monster girls' Deep Reaches.

Move Sets

Monster girls each have their own unique move sets. These move sets are defined by whatever bra they're currently wearing.

Bras can only be worn by the monster girl they belong to.

The move sets for each bra are often focused around specific roles, such as attack, support, or healer.

Don't forget to make sure monster girls are placed in the appropriate row of your party (front vs rear) for their respective move set. Monster girls with physical attacks (sword icon) should be in the front row and monster girls with magic attacks (pentagram icon) should be placed in the rear row.

Stats

Monster girl stats are heavily impacted by the panties they wear.

Each pair of panties is focused on boosting different stats.

You can infer different roles from the stats the panties boost. For example, panties intended for a tank role would likely have high HP, DEF, and MDF modifiers.

The stats in Moero Crystal H are as follows:

HP

  • Hit points. This is the character's life.

SP

  • Skill points. Each skill requires SP to use.

ATK

  • Physical attack. This is the base power of the character's regular attack or any skill that has a sword icon.

DEF

  • Physical defense. This affects the damage the character receives from physical attacks.

MAT

  • Magic attack. This is the base power of any skill that has a pentagram icon.

MDF

  • Magic defense. This affects the damage the character receives from magic attacks.

AGI

  • Agility. This is the character's speed in battle.

Finding Costumes

Each monster girl has four total costumes. They come equipped with a default costume and there are three additional costumes that can be found.

Each monster girl has a costume that will be found from:

  • A treasure chest in a dungeon
    • Treasure chests are one-time objects in dungeons. Grabbing a treasure chest will cause that chest to disappear forever afterwards.
    • Treasure chests are denoted on the map with a treasure chest icon.
  • A Harvest Point in a dungeon
    • Harvest Points are similar to treasure chests, in that collecting them gives you an item as a reward. However, while treasure chests have specific contents and will disappear forever after collecting their contents, Harvest Points have random items and will respawn every time you re-enter the dungeon.
    • Harvest Points are denoted on the map with a plant icon.
    • Exiting and re-entering a dungeon is one way to respawn map Harvest Points. Another way is to visit a save point in a dungeon, save your game, then reload it. Reloading your game will cause all dungeon Harvest Points to respawn. This is the optimal way to farm Harvest Points for costumes.
    • Harvest Points are also not always guaranteed to spawn. If some don't spawn after reloading your game, just reload it again.
  • Heart drops
    • During random encounters, you may encounter a normal monster with a heart icon above it. Monsters with these heart icons drop a specific costume. After collecting that costume, future heart drops from that same monster will not yield anything.

Equipment

Each monster girl can wear four pieces of equipment:

  • One head accessory
    • Head accessories have a ribbon icon.
    • Each monster girl can earn a crown from performing their first Double Scratch. Each monster girl drops her own unique crown and these crowns can be worn by any monster girl, not just the one they're for.
  • One neck accessory
    • Neck accessories have a pendant icon.
  • Two arm accessories
    • Arm accessories are denoted by a ring icon.

Crowns

Each monster girl will receive a unique crown upon completing their first Double Scratch. Crowns are uniquely named after each monster girl but they can be worn by anyone in your party.

The full list of crowns can be found here.

Doki-Doki Shooter

While visiting your monster girls in their rooms at the Inn, you'll gain a menu option called Doki-Doki Shooter if your intimacy level with the monster girl has at least one full heart.

Doki-Doki Shooter is a minigame where you play a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up. The purpose of the minigame is to use your bombs to shoot off the clothing of the monster girl to find her special crystals.

Each of the three crystals unlocks a different special dungeon (called a territory) containing treasures. These treasures include presents and room upgrade materials.

To clear each territory, you must defeat a simple boss and find the exit. The bosses are larger and stronger versions of regular random encounter enemies found in these territories.

The controls for the Doki-Doki Shooter minigame are posted on-screen. Additionally, taking any enemy damage in a Doki-Doki Shooter minigame will end it and send you back to the Inn.

The difficulty of a monster girl's territories will depend on which dungeon the monster girl was originally recruited in. Monster girls found in the early game have easier territories than monster girls found later in the game.

Doki-Doki Shooter minigames can be repeated as many times as it takes to find all the crystals.

Territories can be revisited as well. However, treasures won't respawn after being collected and the Peeping minigame will not respawn after it's completed.

Each monster girl has three crystals on their body to find. These crystals are as follows:

Separate Crystal

  • Separate Crystal is represented with a red crystal panty icon.
  • Completing a Separate Territory unlocks the ability to mix-and-match bras and panties that belong to that monster girl.

Skill Crystal

  • Skill Crystal is represented with a long blue crystal icon.
  • Completing a Skill Territory unlocks a monster girl's special move. A monster girl's special move stays the same no matter which bra she has equipped.

Heart Crystal

  • Heart Crystal is represented with a green heart crystal icon.
  • Completing a Heart Territory unlocks the ability to fill the final heart of a monster girl's intimacy level.
  • Additionally, in each Heart Territory is a special Peeping minigame. Successfully completing this minigame allows you to view a special interaction with that monster girl.

If you fail a territory, you can reattempt it by visiting the Deep Reaches submenu (accessible after clicking the Doki-Doki Shooter menu option) and selecting the specific territory.

Soul Temple

Soul Temple is a place for spending souls collected from battles.

The following options are available from Soul Temple:

  • Equipment Enhance
    • This allows you to spend souls to upgrade your equipment.
    • Equipment can be upgraded to +9. Upgrades increase the stat bonuses provided by each piece of equipment.
    • Unique equipment marked with a star cannot be enhanced.
  • Seal Release
    • Each monster girl has what's called a seal. Seals provide a specific bonus to the equipment they're applied to. These bonuses can include things like additional stat increases or adding the ability to inflict status effects.
    • Performing a Seal Release will allow you to apply that monster girl's seal to a piece of equipment.
    • A full list of all Seal Releases can be found here.
  • Seal Set
    • This is where you apply the seals that have been unlocked through Seal Release. Seals can be removed and reapplied as many times as you want, but each monster girl's seal can only be applied to one piece of equipment at a time.

When spending souls at Soul Temple, prioritize Seal Release over Equipment Enhance, as some seals gained from Seal Release can be quite helpful.

Resting Place

Resting Place eventually becomes available in town and provides options for temporarily boosting stats on your monster girls. The boost is temporary though and will only last the next time you're in a dungeon. Dying or leaving the dungeon will remove the stat boost.

Resting Place provides two options:

  • Rest
    • Rest allows you to select a specific stat on a specific monster girl to temporarily enhance.
  • Stay
    • Stay allows you to select a specific monster girl to receive stat increases to two random stats. You can choose the monster girl to enhance but you cannot choose the two stats that will receive boosts.

Choosing to Rest or Stay will cost a fair amount of gold per monster girl. These boosts can be helpful if you're having trouble completing a dungeon but they never really feel necessary.
