Strategy

Sage Trials dungeons are puzzle-oriented dungeons that involve successfully navigating to the exit while meeting the goal criteria. Most goals are easy to understand, however, the goal titled "Available Action Skill" isn't worded very well. This goal should read as "don't use any action skills". 

None of the Sage Trials dungeons allow you to bring in any items or equipment. This means you can attempt them at any time.

This first Sage Trial dungeon is pretty simple. There are two rooms, each with five sleeping Beelzewraiths. The first room has pillars blocking you from getting too close to the Beelzewraiths. 

Sage Trials 1-1

The second room has no pillars and will require you to choose your steps carefully. If you get within one square of any Beelzewraith, they'll awaken and kill you.

Sage Trials 1-2

To navigate safely to the exit from the starting square:

  • Take one step up.
  • Take one step up-right.
  • Take two steps up.
  • Take one step up-left.
  • Take eight steps up.
  • Take one step up-right.
  • Take two steps up.
  • Take one step up-left.
  • Take one step up to exit the stage.
