When you enter this dungeon, the game will warn you about the proper way to save and quit. This game is designed to try to resist save-scumming (i.e. quitting and reloading to get around a death or some other negative consequence). If you try to terminate the game inappropriately (for instance, trying to close the application), the game will punish you by treating it as a death. You'll lose whatever you were carrying. With that said, save scumming is still possible though. See the Cheats section for details.
You'll encounter an enemy called Happy in this dungeon (and in many dungeons from this point forward). They're the flying yellow creatures. Typically, if they see you, they'll turn and run. If you manage to kill them, you'll be rewarded with 1,000XP (for comparison, Mothy Moth gives 100XP). Target them with projectiles like stones or arrows. Always keep your eyes open for a Happy in any dungeon. They can help you level up very quickly.
Floors B1, B2, and B4 are procedurally-generated.
Floors B3, B5, and B6 are always the same.
Floor B3 will teach you that sometimes other girls may be wandering the same floor as you. Talking to these girls gives you a random bonus that's usually helpful. These bonuses could be any number of things, including revealing all the traps on a floor or giving you bonus ωP. If you see another girl wandering the floor, always make sure to speak with her. They'll also offer to join your party. If you accept, you'll lose whomever you brought with you originally.
Floor B5 will teach you about purses. There are many different types of purses that all do different things. Always make sure to read item descriptions to understand what these do. Preservation Purses are extremely useful, especially in longer dungeons.
There's also a spa at the end of Floor B5. Make sure to use it. Spas give you the option of viewing a scene with your main girl bathing. You can play with her breasts during this scene, if you want. Regardless of whether you view the Spa scene, visiting a Spa restores your party's HP, heals any negative status conditions in your party, removes any curses on your party's equipment, and grants one random positive status effect.
Floor B6 is a boss fight:
The boss of this dungeon is Tomorrow Knight.
There's a Lightning Tome and Super Potion on the ground.
Tomorrow Knight is simple to beat. It's not difficult to overpower this boss. Using a Lightning Tome against it will make the fight even easier.
After you defeat the boss, step in the sunlight to exit the dungeon.
Since floors B3, B5, and B6 are always the same, you can revisit this dungeon repeatedly to farm useful items like Wooden Arrows, Amazonian Bra, Amazonian Panties, Preservation Purse, Ice Tome, and Lightning Tome. Preservation Purses are a great item to have a few of, as they effectively increase the number of items you can pick up.
Clearing this dungeon successfully will restore one part of the garden, allowing you to plant flowers now. Pay attention to the tutorial for growing flowers.
After the flower tutorial, you'll do a tutorial that teaches you about Skill Blooms. Performing a Skill Bloom is the act of doing a minigame with one of the girls that levels up her unique skills. The minigames are simple and can be skipped if you want.
You'll also be given access to the Academy Shop.
Also take note that there's two additional vendors you can speak with outside the shop:
- One vendor doesn't sell anything but instead will give you one free meal per day of your choice. Always speak with this vendor each day, as the meals they offer are quite useful.
- The other vendor accepts nectar as payment for gardening items. Don't spend nectar at this shop until later in the game. Gardening does become important later on but at this point of the game you should save your nectar for Skill Blooms.
After the shop tutorial, the day will end and you'll receive a tutorial about the Flower Dial. You won't need to use the Flower Dial right now, but it'll become very useful later.
Make sure to review your inventory and put anything you won't need for the next dungeon into the locker.
The items below are important to bring with you into dungeons:
- Escape Tome
- Trap Remover
- Food
You might not have everything in the list yet. If you don't, just keep an eye out for them.
You may also want to begin taking Preservation Purses with you into dungeons. You'll encounter vendors in many of the dungeons and being able to carry more items will allow you to sell more stuff. If you're prepared and clever, you can usually find a way to never leave an item behind. Be aware that some traps and enemies may destroy your purses.
Make sure to continue paying attention to item descriptions. Items like Potions don't just restore your HP, they can also increase your maximum HP while in the current dungeon.
